The Pleasant Pentecostal Church (PPC) is a 21^st Century Church with a 1^st Century root of our Christian heritage. We are people-centered, God mindful congregation with a heart for the hurt and the hurting. The Pleasantarians believe that God has specifically designed for man a pleasant life, a holistic life of peace (John 14:27), good and sustainable health (3 John 1:2) and riches (2 Cori. 8:9). We believe this pleasant life is part of our eternal salvation plan found only in Christ (1 John 5:11-12), and it is meant to be experienced in a lifetime for all those who are saved right here on the earth with a glorious continuation into eternity. The Apostle Paul calls it “things that accompany salvation.” (Heb. 6:9).

As Pleasantarians, we are concerned about the pains, the struggles, the hardships and the frustrations of both Christians and non-Christians worldwide. These things are inflicted by conflicts, wars, poverty, and ill-health. PPC provides a safe haven to welcome such who have been beaten and battered to come experience a completely new start of life in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our imagination of Church is the one that provides intervention for the marginalized, and we serve the Lord even as we provide vital services to those He calls His brethren (Matt. 25:40). We empower our communities by providing tailored economic skills training to help them generate income for their sustainability as individuals and families. We are called to empower people to experience God through their work, and to see God’s activities in their neighbor and neighborhood. God is a worker, and He still work new things daily, and so we must join God in implementing His incredible missional work in and through us to our community! (John 5:17, Phil. 1:6, Isaiah 43:18-19).

We believe in the Trinity of the Godhead; ONE Holy God manifesting in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – co-equal, co-eternal and co-habiting (1 John 5:7-8). We believe in the totality (infallibility and inerrancy) of the Scriptures as reflecting God’s holy message to mankind passed down through the ages to us, and therefore together with the traditions of the universal Church and reason, forms the basis of our theology. We fully accept and embrace the Five-Fold Ministry as enshrined in Ephesians 4:11-12. We believe in the currency of the Holy Spirit revealing to us the Word, and in the fullness of His ministry in the believer.
